Hello

I am totally new to all of this !
I just got the Carrera Kraken
Is this a good starter bike ??
So far it seams really good, apart from 2 puncture's in 1 day

Cheers

Welcome! There's nothing wrong with the spec for a beginner :) last years model was a bit better though. What tyres are on it? And are they pinch flats or from thorns/rocks etc? I found with the tyres that came as standard as mine (Speed Kings), I'd get punctures every other ride.
  • It has " Continetal Mountain king" tyre's

Had 2 punctures so far but that was due to the protection strip thing ?? on the inside of the rim not being fitted correctly

    Don't fit the strip then!

The Kraken is a perfectly good and useable first bike, get out, enjoy, learn.....

Or if you mean the rim strip which covers the spoke ends, make sure it is fitted and correctly otherwise you'll keep on puncturing.
  • Yeah the " Rim Strip " now fitted correctly and no more punctures.
