For anyone who is interested and in London on 14 June, Stephen Roche is signing his book Born To Ride at Waterstones, Leadenhall Market, 2-3 Whittington Avenue, Leadenhall Market, London EC3V 1PJ
at 12:30pm (tix are free: 020 7220 7882) and Waterstones, London Wall, 54-55 London Wall, London EC2M 5RA
at 5pm (free tix again: 020 7628 9708) . If you go along, make sure your shirt's done up :D

    Tempted to go. What's the deal with a book signing? I assume I turn up and buy a full-price book, and he writes "Mr TheBigBean, Stephen Roche" inside?

    Yeah, top bloke though. Listened to my whole "I'm your biggest fan" crap.

    I don't think he's been spending the last few weeks in London judging by the mahogany tan and he's stacking less pies these days.

    Looking forward to getting stuck in to the book.

    Tickets: they probably just wanted a count of the number of people who would be turning up (just in case they need to clear some space or hire a rent-a-crowd mob).

    I feel the book is maybe 10-15 years late coming out. Hope he doesn't spend half of it describing retirement life in Nice and promoting his hotel.

    Nice guy. Had a quiet word for everyone and didn't always stick to the pre-written down script on signing the book - put his own twist on it which was nice. I did my usual trying not to say what everyone else says and got a bit tongue tied...
