Nikwax or grangers re-proofer?

I need to re-proof my waterproof jacket and shorts and want some spray on proofer (as I've heard wash in proofer can affect breathability). I've seen that grangers and Nikwax both do spray on proofer. Is there much difference between them?

Every outdoor shop staff, and various mountain leader types I've talked to rate Nikwax above everything else.0 -
i've never had any issues reproofing any of my bike kit or snowboard kit with either nikwax or grangers in the last 15 plus years...
i always used the wash in stuff to... and either or like i said i use both of them and they both do what they say on the tin...www.bearbackbiking.com

Nikwax seems to be more readily available than Grangers. However, I think Grangers is slightly better it certainly seems good on my Ac'teryx jacket.
As for wash-in or spray on, obviously splay on is more use for doing specific areas. Like I find the lower arms need doing more than the back, so the spray on stuff should last longer.Planet X Kaffenback 2

Use whatever you have and wash in stuff is good too. It will not give you 100% recovery but it helps. It also depends on what fabric is your stuff made of.0
