Some quick advice.
Looking to buy first MTB in many many years. Light roadie racer and occasional cyclo cross racer (64kg) looking to have fun off road in the winter (South Downs) and possibly tackle some cross country MTB racing.
Keen on either whyte 905 or orbea alma H10 - any opinions or ideas on light hardtails <£1700?
Thanks.

My wife has got an AL 8.0W and really likes it, good components, well built, light, rides like a dream.Eddy Merckx EMX-3

Custom build based on an On-one Whippet frame?
You'll be hard pushed to find a lighter frame for the money and 1700 will put a very svelte build together. How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.
