Considering using thickest tyres I can for the Gryphon, just wondering how to calulate space? From top of rim then adding height of tyre and then from that width.

Are there a few common sizes ie on a 35mm tyre they're x high?
Say... That's a nice bike..

In my experience even the same two tyres from the same manufacturer can vary in width / height ?
Suggest you go round a few bike shops and measure up some tyres on bikes.

Think could get away with 35mm. Already have 28mm, according to SB, best rim size would be 17mm internal.

Choice of Mavic TN317 or velocity A23, can't find many places who stock velocity though
