Hi all, I've just bought a used Van Nicholas tuareg mtb, with fox RLC racing front shox, American classic 26" tubeless wheels and hydraulic disc brakes, not sure of year, I paid £950???

I think it's a bit late to be asking if it's a deal.

Without seeing the conditon of the bike or the full spec list we cannot say how good a deal it is, but to me a Titanium Van Nic frame, with a RLC fox fork and american classic wheels for 950 seems like a good deal.

I assume you thought it was a good deal or you'd not have bought it.

Suerly that matters more that what a bunch of strangers on an internet forum think?

Because it was the best picture that came up when I googled deal or no deal.

Yes it does but I know very little about mtb's and as such wanted the opinions of people with a lot more experience.

And you asked for thougts for the second time, so I thought you might need more thoughts. You can never have enough thoughts.

Grant just out of interest, what would you do if everyone here was to say it was way overpriced?

Would you sell the bike or keep it and carry on.

This was exactly my point. It's all very well saying "I wanted the opinions of people who know more about bikes than me", but the time to do that is BEFORE you buy it.
All these peoples opinions mean fkall once you've shelled out for it.

So again, do you like it?
Do you think it was good value for money?
If yes to both of these, then yes, it was a good deal.
  • You sure this isnt your way of saying "look what ive just bought and it only cost £950, are you all jelous?" without actually saying it?
