Marzocchi MX Comp ETA - Reduce travel

I've got a set of Marzocchi MX Comp ETA forks that are currently at 120mm travel. I'd like to reduce this to 100mm and believe this is possible by changing a few bits in the internals. I want to reduce the crown to axle length and I'm assuming reducing the travel will reduce this. This is so they fit on a frame designed for 100mm travel.

Not sure of the year but they look a lot like these:

Anyone have any ideas how I go about reducing the travel?

Also is it possible to service these myself?

I've scouted back through my emails (had them a while) and it seems 2005....... and they may actually have 105mm travel already! They're back at my parents house hence me guessing at the travel length. So at 100mm they should suit, 484mm length

    How about servicing then?

EDIT: These are they - http://www.marzocchi.com/template/detailProdotti.asp?LN=UK&idIU=2460&idC=1561&IdFolder=113&idMY=8357&uf=TR&IdOggetto=8434#

    No servicing info though

Any early Marz manual will give you the info you need for servicing.

As to travel change I don't have the info here so Tuesday. But get them measured first.

Yours are more likely to be 2004's since they have the holes in the crown by the looks of them

With alot of old marzocchis, the travel could be changed by swapping internal spacers around. However, I dont think you could this with ETA forks, so you may not be able to with yours.

Its hard to tell from the picture, but the stanchions do look quite short so they are probably the 100mm version.

I've got the same fork and they're 2004. It's pretty simple to change the travel by adding or removing spacers on the damping rod. I took mine from 105mm to 115mm.
Too many bikes, not all fully built.
