Hi all,
I'm changing my BB from a square taper to a Shimano external cup BB with hollowtech cranks. I was wondering if I need to use the plastic black spacers between the cups and the frame or not, and if so, how many I need. The BB shell is 73mm and is already faced. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Thats great, thanks! Also, I have been considering using a Blackspire Stinger (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=54362) to tension my chain, as I am running a single ring up front now. I have a superstar seat-tube mounted chain device (http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... cts_id=475). Will the stinger be ok on a single ring set-up? The description says its for a dual ring set up but will it be alright with a single ring (in place of the spacer)?
Thanks!Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0 -
Get the single ring version.
Yes I replaces the spacer.
