Hi all,

A grey day for the Criterium du Dauphine Prologue in Grenoble on Sunday with not too much light for photos. Rain in the middle of the session for a while, but dry roads for the early starter like Cadel Evans. Great to see Bradley Wiggins looking lean and on form.

You can find a gallery of pictures from the afternoon on the above link.

Cheers, Russell

Some great pics there, Frenchie will love the shot of Wiggo's legs.

One question, what was Cadel Evans doing with cotton wool up his nose?

    Ditto, ditto & ditto!
Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.

    Thanks, some awesome shots there!

Froome also has cotton wool up his nose, wonder what that's about.

In pic 40, Big George's left leg looks like it's been savaged by a dog!

I guess that Evans had some decongestant like Olbas oil on the cotton wool. I seem to recall it used to be very popular before TTs back in the 80s, either on cotton wool shoved up the nose or on the back of the riders mitt, to be sniffed like snuff.

Either that, or his pooch had crapped in the start-house

  • Thanks all. Evans wasn't the only one with the cotton wool up the nose like that. I wasn't sure if he was trying widen his nostrils...
