We all had a meeting, and it's just you this year.
The loud crowds used to just distract the riders, so we're not going.
    Enjoy the race, alone.

Was there last weekend, and the week before, conditions were perfect for riding. Heaps of trails around the Nevis apart from the 10 under the Ben, Red and World Cup route, go for an explore. Also get out to Laggan if you have time, the Blue/Red/Black/Orange routes out there are unreal and the black is one of the toughest blacks I've ever ridden!
Also, PACK SOME MIDGIE SPRAY!! Those feckers are unreal, I've still got spots all over me!!

Never does, the only thing that works is Avon skinsosoft.

What a ride by Aaron Gwin - the guy's just in a league of his own!

He really was incredible. I was really happy that Peaty ended up able to ride in the final even if it was with a torn hamstringand ended in him finishing in 26th place. He seems like a really nice guy and stayed around congratulating all of the other riders as they came in. At one point Peaty, Sam Hill, Danny Hart, Gee Atherton and Greg Minnaar were all stood together in a group, talk about a meeting of masters lol. The atmosphere all weekend was like nothing Ive ever experienced, it was totaly electric

Also managed to meet Danny McKaskill and got my photo with him. Really nice guy and never stopped smiling all weekend, he seems like he really does appreciate the oportunity that he has been given.

People always talk about the great atmosphere at Fort Bill - but when they held the Worlds there, there was obvious booing for any rider that wasn't British - which has stained the atmosphere of the place for me somewhat.

Thats a shame, I can honestly say there was nothing but rapturous applause for every rider at the weekend. When the DH celebs came down (Peaty, hart, athertons, hill etc) the cheers were incredible.

Oh definitely this race yeah, and generally world cup events do seem good. But the World champs left a bitter taste in my mouth.

    It was an awesome day,

I will say that Danny Heart was only just off the fastest pace, he was shifting too.

Oh wow, is that Dan Shard from the BR forums? Neat!

By the way, what the hell is the deal with the 4th from last photo? It looks mangled as anything, like a really dodgy photoshop!

yeah those tabletops are absolutely huge, the height they were getting in the air was staggering. the monster drop was pretty scary, the drop is probably 10ft to the road but the landing was like a vertical cliff face and most of the riders were landing a good 20ft down it and straight into a berm. the skill level that these riders are at is just incredible, and when you think that some of them are 16 year old girls..lol very humbling
