Hey,
I'm in a need of a decent entry level bike to tackle Swinley Forest, two videos to represent the trails and the bike required for them:

My budget is around £400, can stretch it a little :P (might be better to get used bike off ebay?)
P.S. I'm pretty clueless I thought of getting a dual suspension (front and back). But after searching around it might not be necessary? I will be using the bike for everything, up/downhill, XC and singletrack etc
thanks

Either way, with the budget you've mentioned, Halfords or Decathlon will be your friend. Both sell unbeatable bikes for the money, especially when compared to the big-name brands. How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

99% os Swinley can be done on anything. My son took my 25 yr old rigid yesterday as a change from his big tractor bike and still stayed a long way ahead of me on a full sus.
The Big Drop needs something a bit chunky though.I don't do smileys.
