Scott Ransom Front Mech Hitting Frame

Hi,

I have a problem with my Scott Ransom Carbon 10.

The old XT 3x9 mech that came with the frame had marks on it where it touched the frame under full compression.

When building the bike I went for a 2x10 Setup and SRAM front mech. The first time out the frame touched the mech under compression and bust the clamp pin.

I don't want to just keep buying mechs and it keep happening but I can't see anything wrong with the frame, bushes, bolts, alignment etc etc so unsure what to do to stop it happening.

A few photos:

Thanks.

    Fit the old mech then?

What is the difference in the lambing position between the two.

Is the 2X mech further up the stub?

Possible you may not manage to use this set up.

I think what I will do is fit the old mech, disconnect the bottom of the shock so that I can move the rear subframe through its motion and see how far up the post the mech has to be for it not to touch. Then research the 2x10 X9 SRAM Mech to see if the shame and design of the mount will fit where it needs to go. Hopefully it will not be too high that I can't use the 22/36 chain rings I have fitted.
