Morvelo jerseys, any good?

I've spotted a Morvelo jersey that I like the look of but I have zero experience of Morvelo clothing.

So, are they any good and worth £60? Or, just another case of 'style' over substance?

If anyone has experience of Morvelo Vs. a Santini jersey from Prendas then that would be an added bonus :)

Thanks in advance.

No-one's going to be able to give you the 'right' answer, because there really isn't one - it's subjective. A shirt from GAP and a shirt from a high end fashion house will both do the same job, despite a massive difference in cost. The only difference is how you feel when you wear it.

I've not read anything adverse about Morvelo, you can always order and return if you're not happy though. Sorry if my answer isn't as black and white as you'd hoped for ;)

An older thread on this topic here...

Thanks, I thought I'd seen a thread on this previously but didn't get a hit on the search function.

I've just ordered the Chasseur de Cols Pyrenees from Tokyo Fixed. They are the only shop with any stock. I really like the look of it and I rarely buy bike kit just because I like the look of it, hope it's good.

    Thanks again.

Nice looking jersey !! I may have to steal the idea and get one myself :D

They seem to get good reviews, the BR review just mentioned that the zip puller it a little small, but I can live with that !

Have they got one for people who are crap at hills?? Really like the look of that but no way I could wear it - imagine the shame as everyone came past.

I dunno Matt, first the Enigma and now this jersey. I'm flattered but this is getting a bit much

Order for frame will be placed in a couple of weeks (waiting for £4k of company expenses to be paid back to me !), but I've already got a box of shiney things and carbon bits sitting in my study

(MrsC hasn't questioned the price.......... yet ! In fact, she encouraged me to have the £499 polished finish as it's "being built especially" )

You won't regret it, the mirror polish looks the dogs. Though mine ain't too shiny at the mo, pointless cleaning her after this w'end and just about to go out now and pretend I'm doing one of the spring classics (weather here is crap, very wet). So lame

Yeah, but that's £499 I can spend on other goodies. I'm thinking of having the bead blasted finish, with polished stays, polished decals and a polished band either side of the decals :D
