New Wheelset

I'm looking for a new wheelset, somewhere in the region of £150-£250 max. For the usual xc/trail centre type riding for Giant Trance X3.
The front needs to be 15mm thrubolt and the rear QR. Ideally be able to last a while between services too if possible.
So far i've narrowed it down to Fulcrum Red Power XL (£225), Mavic crossride (~£200) or XT hubs on either Mavic xc717 or DT xr4.2 rims (~£200).
Any preferred choices from these or any more worth a look at?

Either http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... cts_id=536 or http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... cts_id=496 . The crests would be first on my list, dependant on your weight and type of riding. The hubs use cartridge bearings so there's less fiddling with them.0

I went for these, as they are lighter and hopefully stronger than the cheaper SS jobbies.
Fwe hard rides in and they are holding up well. http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=40&products_id=3470 -
I am also looking at Red Power XL for my Trance x3, they can be found here cheaper. http://www.bike24.com/p224878.html
Also, I found some rims, I know the company makes good lightweight stuff, but I can't find any review on these rims. http://www.frmbike.biz/index.php?route= ... uct_id=115
They can be found as Bor XMD 388 also.
What is your weight? And riding style?A much loved, Giant Trance X3 20100 -
Thanks for suggestions so far.
I'm about 86-87kg, i tend to ride most things but try not to do big jumps or drops too often, but need some wheels that can still cope with it if needed. Although if the ones that came on the giant can cope I'm sure any of these will do fine.
I do really like the look of the Fulcrum wheels though, i'm thinking they will be strong enough to stand up to a a bit of abuse now and then.2009 - Giant Trance X3

My son had the Mavic Crossride for a year, he never had any trouble with them. I just bought the Fulcrum Red Power on internet , and the rear hub teared appart after 2 workouts. Fulcrum did not want to take the warranty claim under consideration, I am very disappointed.0 -
I had some crossrides a couple of years back, they were a good enough wheelset, right up until I needed spare parts. In short, it was possibly the biggest debacle I've ever had with anything, ever, and the primary reason I'm unlikely to ever use Mavic for anything again.0

i have these as well. Awesome wheels for the money. They can take a proper beating.0 -
I'm looking for new wheelset aswell and I have looked at Crc's custom build with Hope pro 2 evo hubs and mavic's XM819 ust rims. Hopes would be easy to maintain and convert to different axle types, but I also have the option to get Mavic Deemax ust wheelset 2011 in silver for £ 313. Should I future proof once and for all, or take the awesome deal?0

I'd take the Superstar Switch/Crest wheels at £220. The Crossrides are nearly 2kg a pair, as are the cheaper SS (which use plain gauge spokes).0
