Although Bike radar has given this bike an amazing score with quotes of 'Nudges Super bike territory' it unfortunately received some mixed reviews in this months cycling plus magazine..the down point being its Barelli breaks.

After 1500 miles I've yet to experience any problems but i was thinking of upgrading the breaks to match its current Sram Force group set

This bike is super quick and very smooth.

I was lucky enough to pick this up as an ex-demo for £1600...I'm still convinced the shop accidentally gave it a wrong price tag. For a bike worth over £2000 I've never seen it cheaper, apart from 2nd hand or ex team issued bikes

I've noticed another Stretto on this forum with upgraded American Classic wheels...Something which I've got my eye on for the future. I'm also going to change the saddle very soon and get matching red cables throughout.

Nice paintjob overall, but I'd rather changed hoods for some ones of traditional colour) Black or white.
And I don't want to hurt you, but seriously light is below 7 kg I suppose :)

Yea I agree, seriously light may have been the wrong choise of words...when i first brought this bike I told myself those hoods were going but I somehow grew fond of them

Keep the red hoods they look great, everyone has black and white there is nothing wrong with having something a little different.
  • The brakes are fine, i put over 2K on mine, with no issues at all. I have changed them for Force brake know though, only because of a bit of OCD, i am a bit old school where everything has to match.
You wont regret the wheel upgrade i runn the AC 58mm Carbons on my stretto.

yea I noticed your Stretto with the carbon 58'..very nice and certainly stands out! I haven't had any problems or noticed any dip in my performance/handling using these breaks...and I have first hand experience in just how powerful they are after a sudden emergency stop at the back of a 25 mph train! The only reason I will change to Sram is to complete the full group set...There's nothing wrong with wanting every thing to match its a good thing.

I also have the same bike, I got it in april last year. Mine has the red hoods which I actually like :), and also came with the deep section AC's 420's, they arent too bad.

The bike is great, you will enjoy it!

At 7.5 kg combined with my 10 stone figure i'm certainly the lightest outfit in my group.

Not one to be outdone, i'd just like to slip in that I have a 10 inch penis. Certainly the largest in my group.

    That's all. Thanks.

The problem (IMO) that there is no (not enough at least) matching red elements. Maybe red saddle and/or clinchers then? :)

I'd prefer if you just stayed at the front!

I also have a Moda - a Finale though, the barelli brakes have been fine better than expected in fact.

I have the Moda Finale and no issue with the brakes.
Lite fast and smooth running the moda bikes.
Tryed out the titanium one not that long ago, really nice detail on it.
  • I had my heart set on one of these before I bought my Raleigh Avanti.
Lovely looking beast and the red hoods are cool.

Just had a 6month old Stretto written off by a retard in a taxi with a broken rib and sprained wrist and elbow to boot. Such a shame. Lovely bike while it lasted and very fast. Hopefully will get a replacement through the insurance claim.

My Stretto had the deeper rimmed American Classic 420 Aero wheels which I think help the bike Stand out even more.
