In a (transparently) desperate attempt to drive traffic to my new private science tuition website, I've light heartedly blogged about the science of caffeine and it's effect on cycling.....probably nothing you guys haven't come across before, but a look/retweet/like/comment would be nice!!!!

The grey text on white is hard to read.
Didn't read the whole bog but I tend not to drink lots of caffeine before hard riding is I find it has a negative subjective effect - I feel more anxious rather than alert after doing so.0 -
Thanks billy! I thought I'd fixed the grey on white - now changed to blue......0

So you have undertaken a career of tutoring middle class children who are really bright? So bright they can't concentrate in school and aren't interested in tests? Clearly bright enough for Oxford, but A-levels and GSCE's aren't interesting enough and their teachers don't understand how bright they are?
Brave man. Here's my advice:

Caffeine is a stimulant and raises *blood glucose levels, so increased glucose in your system will supply energy to muscles. For those that take sugar this will also be fast acting.
* tested this on a glucose metermy isetta is a 300cc bike0 -
There's an article in Cycling weekly about the combination of caffeine and sugar being useful just before a Time Trial. I think it helps if it's not your 120th coffee of the day.
Must say I am tempted to make up a strong sugary coffee to take to the next one.0
