Can anyone give me a review on these wheels please?

I know they are on the heavy side compared to the C24 version and i know about the aero advantage/disadvantage etc. Just want to know if they are anygood for general road use. i dont race just like to have nice stuff that works.

I have a set. I'm probably not the best person to ask about such things as it's my first aero wheelset, but here goes.

My feeling after two or three road rides, on hilly terrain mostly, is that they are good wheels, but I suspect a lower profile wheel is a better choice. Sure they zip along at 20+mph but you do feel the extra weight on the climbs, and thay are a PROPER handful in gusty side winds. I rode off Fleet Moss last Saturday and I had to brake coming down they were that twitchy. But that's not what they were designed to do so take from that what you will. Plus they are harsher than a low profile alu rim, so if you ride a lot on bumpy roads you'll feel it.

In terms of build quality they are fine. Ultegra hubs are sound - I've upgraded the balls to ceramic, as I had some in the workshop, and the spoke tension is good and has stayed good. I took the original stickers off as they are gash, and bought some much more subtle 'C50' ones off ebay.

Overall, they are a good wheelset. The main point is what do you use your bike for? If you do a lot of hilly rides like me then a lower profile alu rim is a better option, in my opinion - the carbon laminate RS80 for example. If you fly along the flat most of the time, then they are a possibility. :D
