Hi - has anyone got any recommendations on cheap Chinese front lights?

Have heard that the Ultrafire ones are pretty good - anyone have any experience?

Only for road riding but sometimes non lit country roads.

Cheers

See the what lights sticky in the MTB Buying Advice section.

I use a Magicshine MJ-870, which is very good. I only use it during winter, when my commutes are done in darkness though.

Deal extreme Magic Shines, cars generally flash me to dip the light!

    OK will do thanks.

I don't want a light with a separate charger - just something light, discreet, powerful and reliable.

Why not? The batteries used by the decent torches (18650 cells) will require a new charger anyway, unless you've got one that takes 18650s already?

Believe me, the magicshine bike lights are much more of an elegant solution than the torches, though the torches do give better value for money.
