Specialized Allez Sport Gearing

I am new to road biking and have just been for my first ride on my new Allez Sport.

Comparing this to my MTB I was surprised at how low the gearing was; I had assumed it would be higher. Is the allez low geared as standard?

Thanks in advance,

MGS

The Allez Sport is normally equipped with a compact double 50/34 with a cassette 12-25.
Gives a range of 107 gear inches down to 36 gear inches.
Suitable for general riding with moderate fitness.
As you get fitter then you may wish to swap the chainset and or rear cassette to suit where you ride and what you ride for.
