Hello,
I'm partial to the colour black on my bike and the silver cranks on my bike need to go! :D

Current crankset is a Shimano M552 2-Piece 42x32x24T 175mm integrated BB 3 x 10 speed.

Don't want to spend too much money but basically, want a like for like spec or a bit higher spec but all in black.
Looking at these on Ebay

Would these fit ok? What tools do I need to do it and how hard is the job?

Or keep the chainset and just swap out the arms?
Thanks

If your existing chainset is HT2,then undo crankbolts and pretension cap, remove non driveside crank arm, whack the crank axle with a rubber mallet to remove the existing chainset, push new chainset on ,fix non driveside crank, fit bolts and pretensioner cap.Torque pretensioner cap very, very carefully so as not to knacker your bearings.
Tighten the pre tension cap to take up the slack only but no tighter.
    Job done!

You need the HT2 pretension tool (about £3) and a 5mm allen key.

The video that follows is for an FSA but the process is very similar:

Have a look on the Shimano website for specific instructions for your cranks.

and then wait for them to go silver in a short time.

    Thanks for the link.

I've just taken a look at my crank arms and there is scraping on the arms from my heels. Would the black eventually come off? Should I scrap this idea?

I wasn't thinking along those lines but where there is an inspirational idea, good times can be had :D
