Put together a video of the event from my chest mount - it's a bit bouncy as anyone who knows what I'm shooting with knows it's a bit ghetto :) Anyway, let me know what you think of the cut. I've tried to showcase the descents and the kind of terrain on a gravity enduro so it's quite long at 15mins.

It's here.

your reaction was class :) 'you fookin sadist!'
I'm after the names of the stages if anyone can help me out? I'm hoping to get back up there and do them all again. Do you know them Ricardo?

Section 2 was called section 13+ (made up of section 13 until the fire road then a bit more) and section 5 was called antenna (1st section transmission, 2nd part accelerator, 3rd part nitrous). Not sure on section 1 as the website is down!

Will be back up there as soon as my back is better! You entering eastridge?

Didn't do you back in on race day did you? I can't enter the next round unfortunately as I've already got a ride booked. A big ride. I'll be doing the megavalanche route :)
What was your race number? Which is my PC way of asking, what time did you do S4 in?

It's pretty unfair that I got to start behind you. They should have at least made us duel-off, or start each stage simultaneously :)
Yeah there's very little where I am. I got to a members-only bike park (it's not exclusive, anyone can join) near Lincoln. Otherwise I get out to Style Cop, Stainburn, Wharncliffe or naturals around the Peaks from time to time. My biggest problem is no-one else around here rides, so if you need someone to show you how to do stage 4, you just let me know ;)

haha yeah I think a duel from the start line would have made me pedal harder! Wharncliffe is at the top of my road (well bottom of greno woods). Search ATGNI on facebook and join our group mate, we are from all over and you can get out with us from time to time if you're free when we are riding and want some company for a change

Yeah, I did join a while ago (I recognised the Ts on raceday) but never got round to getting out with them. I might join the Monday ride though if my trip to Chicsands gets cancelled. Must make a more concerted effort!

Ha! Yeah mate I'm hopefully going if the healing gods are on my side! If not jut keep looking and I'm sure you'll make one of the rides sooner or later.

I think that 1st section is called Pikes Teeth. It's the first descent on the Black Route, I ride at Hamsterley quite often but never bothered learning what the section are called so I could be wrong about the name.

Cheers, I could do with a decent map of the trails - I'd like to know exactly where the enduro went so I could repeat it but the forestry commision one is useless.

No offence but the camera work wasn't great so I skipped through the video. Looked to me like if you go and ride th black route you'll get to all these sections but I think there was a some of the DH tracks in there that you would miss.

It's the first time I've tried setting it up as a chest mount, I agree that it's not always a great angle, you often can't see where I'm going or the shaking gets too bad - I'll be working on trying to get that better in the next vid.

http://www.ukgravityenduro.com/ there are 3 pictures under the words 'The first and only mountain bike race series in the UK dedicated to enduro racing.' One of JT Media, a map and one of Dan Atherton.....I'll see if you can work out which one is the trail map

Stage 1 was Star Wars IIRC, you've got stage 2, dunno about 3, stage 4 was the first 4X track jump and little step up and then onto the NPS track. Hamsterley was the best round so far IMO. Eastridge will be really good, though. Lots of steep, techy, natural trails but the stages will be shorter than Inners, CYB or Hamsters.
