Replacement fittings for mudguard to rear rack?

Hi,
I have a Focus Maleta, it came with full mudguards with the rear one not attached in the usual way with the 'V' rods and endcaps, but instead it has short pieces of wire coming down from the rear rack which are held in some simple rubber pieces attached to the mudguard. All seemed simple and satisfactory, but the rubber pieces have perished and so don't hold the mudguard off the wheel any more.. I can't seem to find any reference to any similar system online, but I'm sure it can't be that unusual - does anyone on here know (a) what I'm talking about, and (b) where I could maybe get some replacement rubber fittings? I can't see anything on the SKS website, which is a bit worrying, but people on here often know far more than anyone could ever imagine so I'm not giving up hope!
Many thanks,
Richard

I can't really picture what you mean.
SJS cycles are pretty good for mudguard spares.

Failing that why not contact SKS direct?0 -
Think I know what you mean but it is hard to picture it in my head. Can you use zip ties in replace of the rubber straps.
If you can post a picture that would be great.0 -
If they are just O rings, you can pick them up at any hardware shop.0
