Bought from EBay for a princely sum of £200 against its retail price of £350.

Yes a full sus for £200! I based my decision to purchase on me being a MTB starter with a wife, sorry, I mean a limited budget, and not being quite sure where I should start.

Since the purchase, I've ragged it on some DH and general xc and found it comes wanting in certain areas, much as you would expect for its price and spec!

Rather than shell out for a new bike, I've decided to upgrade certain parts to make my experience more enjoyable, and ultimately safer :) I seem to recall a similar thread elsewhere about a RR9.1 or 8.2 purchase.

Upgrades;

Mountain king 2 rear tyre - not fitted yet!
Rubber queen front!
Rock shox recon tk silver forks
Sintered pads (needed!!)
Basic component upgrades to match RR8.2 spec on stem, seat post and bars
Charge spoon seat
Specialised lock-on grips in white
DMR pedals
Suntour epicon LOS rear shock

    that must be the first 6.3 on here, so its actually cost you quite a bit more than £200 then :lol: but as long as your enjoying it, thats all that matters

  • Yes, its cost me more than £200 :p, but like you say, i'm enjoying it :)

    Updated pic, rear shock & tyre fitted.

    I have a temptation to have it resprayed in a nice cherry red colour.
