good places to ride in north west area

hi all,
i like to ride most weekends, i have a marin quake 7.1 i go to llandegla most of the time and do the black run but i need abit of a change, any idea where is good? and not to far away from me ( manchester ) am not in to mega DH stuff but like a few jumps etc

any good centres?
