Insurance confusion

Hi I hope I'm posting in the right place here!

I'm wondering if someone has any advice on insurance. I like to cycle around all over the place in London but I have a problem with insurance as I stay at my boyfriend's a few times a week and would have to lock my bike up out on the street as he lives in a first floor flat with no storage. I can only find policies that will insure it away from it's insured location ie. my house for 12 hours - not ideal if I stay at my boyfriend's house at weekends or if I get there at 6pm in the evening on occasion.

Does anyone know of an insurance policy that would insure it away from my house for more than 12 hours - even 24 hours would be better!

Really grateful for any advice!

Thanks

I was in a similar situation. I live in Brighton and bikes get stolen all the time here. Rather that getting a fancy insurance policy, I spent £50 on a cheap hack/pub bike. It's unlikely to get stolen and, if it does, I can get another for £50. Plus, it makes me appreciate my good bike all the more when I get back on it.
