Swapping stems

Hello :D

I have got myself a nice shiny new stem for my Santa Cruz and as it's swapping one Easton stem for another (a longer one), I figure this should be within my capablities.....?!

So, what EXACTLY do I need to do?! I can take the old one off ok, but is there a special order to putting the new one on and tightening it all up? Do up the headset top cap first I guess, then the clamp, and then the clamp on the bars? How tight?

    correct and enough to stop it moving.

    there may even be some torque figures etched on it.

    always do pairs of bolts together (a bit at a time not one at a time).
