Trying to kit the planet x ti out at the mo. It's now got the Brooks Swift honey saddle and bar tape and I was thinking that some old school looking tan walled Tyres would finish it off.

Can anyone put me in the direction of some good ones? The only ones I've seen up to now are upto 22cm at planet x. I was hoping to find some fast rolling 23,25 if I can.

Thanks
Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!

It's been a few years but i used to use Continental Grand Sports.
    They has tan sidewalls.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

The best ones are the Vittoria Open Corsa CS, but the side wall is very delicate, don't use them for off road. Challenge forte are also very good. I don't like the Veloflex

Continental GP four seasons have a reddish brown sidewall, is that close enough?

The Rubino Pro 3's in Honey colour are a sort of ''browny/orange'' yellow.

What makes them the best? I'm using some veloflex at the moment but they're about to wear out so on the hunt for some new rubber. I quite liked the veloflex but may give something else a go. Sidewalls are also very thin on these, the other day I stopped to take a leak on a deserted hill with long grass at the sides, while I'm doing my business I hear the dreaded pssssssssssss (no not me pi55ing it was my tyre deflating). The long sharp grass had pierced the sidewall

These are all pretty pricey tyres but tan walls look the nuts 8)

Veloflex are lovely tyres, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them for general riding in the UK - you're lucky to get more than 2000 miles from a tyre too. Likewise, Vittoria Open Corsas are very similar. I haven't tried Challenge - made in the same factory in Thailand as Vittoria whereas Veloflex are still made in the factory in Italy which was vacated by Vittoria when it moved production to Thailand!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I do like Veloflex too. Are there any 25mm options anywhere? Ribble seem to do a 23mm which others don't.
