Leg pads for the lady

My girlfriend has finally given in and bought herself a bike, a lovely Myka HT.
She was really enjoying the trail centres until.... her first crash
To be honest it was pretty small but did break the skin a little.
Her confidence has really been knocked by this and also she's worried that if she continues riding she'll have scars all over her legs!
I was going to treat her to some leg pads. Since we ride xc/trails she doesnt need DH armour but knee pads wont give enough coverage on her lovely pins. Something thin and lightweight is needed.
I was looking at the 661 Rhythm Knee/Shin Guards...
Can anyone suggest anything else suitable for a fragile lady new on the trails...

661 Veggie Shins work if it is just her shins that she is worried about.
More like a shinpad wrapped in neoprene (rather than body armour).
Have used them in the past and found them very good - not too expensive either.2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)
