After some advice please ....about to purchase a new MTB (its the Ghost 1200 Miss)

http://www.sunsetmtb.co.uk/shop/index.p ... gory_id=63

Anyway, we are never going to be able to go and sit on this bike so im asking generally 40cm (16'') frame on a ladies MTB would this be about right for a 5ft 5'' female?

I know all MTB geometry are different but generally what frame size mtb are females of approx 5ft 5'' riding?

Many thanks

Difficult as everone is different but I'm 5ft 4 and ride a 14" Orange 5 Diva and a 15" Kona Minxy. Is the 16" their medium? I would have thought maybe a small would be better - it's easier to make a small frame 'bigger' (longer stem, set back saddle etc) than a large frame smaller.

But then again I like small bikes - I have just realised that my Santa Cruz is officially an 'extra small' meant for people who are about 5ft and under  At the end of the day it's all twaddle as long as they feel right for the individual!!
