Size? What does an 18.5 mean in road bike terms?

I am more familiar with mtn bikes being listed thus, as say a Large or an 18.
How does this relate to the raod bike sizing as I've been offered anTrek 1.2, but size 18.5?
I know a 56 fits well as I tried one out for size in a bike shop a while ago.
Thanks

Yes, I too had seen this but the seller says it's suitable for a 5ft 3 person, which seems most odd.

Try to fit your bike on your inside leg length rather than your total length. A profesional fit would take every mm of your body in consideration but for a simple one you can use this calculator to find the right fit according to your inside leg length.

You can't compare seat tube lengths now that many bikes are compact to a greater or lesser extent. It's all about top tube length. Check the length of the 56 you tried and compare it to the Trek; That'll be a good start, then there's stem length etc.0
