SLX chainset

Hi,
I have been lucky enough to have bought a new one of these for a ridiculously low price:
http://www.pedalon.co.uk/acatalog/shimano-slx-m660-chainset-175mm.html
Would I notice any improvement on the deore setup on my Rockhopper Comp? Is it worth fitting or should I just keep it as a spare? The current chainset is Deore (same teeth configuration) although it is octalink rather than hollowtech II as per the SLX.
Thanks,

You will need to get the BB shell faced so keep it as a spare untill needed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I have both those crank sets. The SLX is lighter & looks nicer. Thats about the only differences I notice.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
