Yes I did the 50 today - whilst not as quick as your time I managed 3hrs 25.
It was the first time I have done anything like this. I'll be 60 this year and was quite pleased to be in good shape at the end of the route.
I really enjoy the ride, although got a little hot!!!0 -
It got really hot, I finished early enough that i missed the hottest. It was my first time as well but at 33 i'm a relative nipper.0

I was impressed by the range of people cycling and the range of bikes being used.
I was not so impressed by the quality of driving on the way back into Norwich.
Next year I will try to get in under 3 hours.0 -
Hi was an excellent event done the 100 and the course went through some of norfolks finest views done it in 5.50 working with a mate and agree on the driveing in norwich on the route back .0

I rode the 100 mile route yesterday with a friend of mine. this is the second time. i am not overly keen on the main roads,as most of my riding is done on the quieter lanes of North Norfolk. But it's a nice event and worth entering.
It wasn't the drivers that annoyed me, but the Chain gang type racing, of one large group in particular. they shout out "coming through on the left" and expected people to move out of their way. two of them went so close to a guy in front of me that he swerved up into the hedge. It's dangerous and inconsiderate. For all their racing we would catch up to them when they stopped for punctures and refreshment stops, and wait for them to scream past us again further down the road. i have ridden in large groups before on club runs, so i know how much fun it can be riding at pace in a line. but theres the operative word 'race'. well this isn't a race it's a sportive.
Rant overColnago..............The name on the worlds finest bikes0 -
Its not even a sportive, its a charity ride........0

Yes they need to sort out the route back into Norwich, the road back from Coltishall is busy at the best of times let alone a sunny sunday. My main gripe is the stop at Sheringham, to expect hundreds of cyclists to exit the school via an ally way and bump down a kerb is crazy. Two chaps in front of me had to take action to avoid a queue that had built up and came off. This wasn't helped by idiots who kept on riding on the grass to get around them and clog up the exit even more.
A good ride though, made better by the weather. Got around in 5.29 which wasn't too bad as we had some slower riders in our group who suffered on the few hills there are.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

Well done to all, I hope to see you on the 100 next year, anything around 6 hours would be good for my first 100?0
