Upgraded brake pads for Giant Defy?

Looking for a little more stopping power for my Defy 4 (think I'm spoilt with hydraulic disc brakes on my MTB!).
Obviously not expecting the same sort of braking ability, just something a little better than the current pads. Brakes are Tektro TK-R340's. Thanks.

Koolstops or swiss stop both produce very good pads.0

Swisstop greens are superb 8)
Fitted them to my Tektro brakes and amazed at the difference it made. They feel better than my hyd disks on my hybrid.Share The Road Event http://www.sharetheroadride.co.uk

And now that I've looked at my bike (probably should've done that first, lol!), it doesn't appear to have replaceable pads, they look like these - http://www.petracycles.co.uk/images_lar ... G/P453.jpg
I assume that the one's I've ordered won't fit, is there an easy way to get them to, or will I need to order something different? Thanks.0 -
Can you remove the brake pads - i.e. slide them out (remove holding screw first) - if you can the new brake pads should slide in. If not new brake shoes are not expensive.0

I'll try when the pads turn up, they may well do, but I didn't look that closely.
If not, any recommendations for some new shoes? Cheers.0 -

None of those will fit straight onto a Defy 4, Shimano Tiagra and below have all-in-one brake pads. I've not yet seen shoes only for sale, any suggestions on this?0 -

You're correct, I've just had a look at my bike :-
Any options on fitting them please? Think I might stick a wanted ad up for some shoes.0 -
