We all love a graph. So I'm using some crowd-sourcing to see what we can learn.

First up, total number of pages per stage

Next up we've got the "sprint" stages. An * means Cavendish didn't win

More to come as I think of them

Fascinating. Apart from stage 3 it looks like is there a general trend towards more posts as the tour progresses and folks get more engaged.

How about average page count for different type of stage...TT/Flat (chipper)/med mountain/mountain...

And here's one where I break out the Cavendish victories as their own classification of Chipper

Not sure how this maps onto productivity...

Good stuff Iain. Keep em coming. Surprised about the weekday/weekend split as typically the weekends feel quieter. Maybe just because some of the best stages are on the weekends.

I've been doing some comparison work over at Cyclingnews and they broadly follow the same kind of pattern. Not that cycling fans are the target market for sponsors, but I'm sure there is some interesting marketing analysis in there.

It's like sentiment analysis for algo trading. Only with bikes, and "internet forum people"

Any difference if you were to look at the number of views rather than the number of posts?

How about moans about stages versus moans about moans about stages?
