Avid Elixer R rotor rubbing

After removing my wheel on my bike to transport it, I struggled to get the rotor to go back into the brake and had to open up the pads with a spatula and managed to get the rotor in,
but now when trying to spin the wheel it spins slowly and not for very long.

So I assume rotor is rubbing on the pads, but I am not sure how to fix it.

Has anyone had a similar problem or knows how to fix it?
Any help appreciated as it is very irritating.

Push the pistons home properly, not just to get the disc in.

There's your probem. Never ever do that without putting something between the pads to stop them progressing out.
