Translation:

Alain Rumpf (in the photograph) is working us briskly. "We are pledged in important discussions with the Russian Federation and it hope to arrive soon to carry out the project" explains the director of Global Cycling Promotion, the organizational arm of the uci. The object of the to dispute is the new race to Russian stages - 8 days - that should connect Moscow to Sochi (town that between the other will accommodate the Olympic Games Winter in 2014). For a race that it is born, there I am of it other that they suffer, above all the Tour of Italy: if the project will go finally in place, the race Russian will be disputed in fact in May and will enter to make part of the circuit World Tour. Therefore the risk that you are lowered the quality of the participate in the Turn cresce further: in concomitance to the race rose, in fact, it is disputed already the Turn of California that interests a lot to the American formations and Anglophones in type (a lot line up there their better men and do not lead to them the Turn) and if the squads of series to will be compelled to divide itself absolutely in three with the Russian competition that will carry points Weighing almost how much the Turn, is easy to understand like the race of house ours is destined to suffer further penis. With one thousand thanks to who it governs the world bicycle racing...

Kind of inevitable. A lot of money coming into Sport/Cycling via Russia.

Not sure of the timing though. May should be left alone.

It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

This was going to be in the ProTour, and kind of marked the death knell.

It was only a matter of time before it resurfaced again. I watched a good piece on Ski Sunday about Sochi and they do seem to have got their act together. Not sure about the places in between Moscow and there....

So enivitable; corrupt sporting body gets paid to hold race in a country which has problems with corruption. Fat Pat and whatever the UCI call their organisation for racing must be jangling all the way to their opaque banks.

Incidently transparency international don't rank sports bodies. Good job eh?
