Anyone know an actual shop in the UK that stocks Giro shoes where I can actually try them on before buying.

I can only seem to find internet stockists?

After some Trans road shoes.

I am Midlands based but travel lots with work so the more the merrier.

Thanks

Condor in central London have the Trans in stock at £160 and have most sizes. Sigma Sport in Kingston don't stock the Trans, but do have the Factors for £180.

On a related note, if you already knew what size you're after then there's an ebay seller with an astonishingly good deal on the Prolights for just £170 (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/one-red-dot-sh ... d=19042384).

andy - I wish I did as I would have ordered them and be cycling around in them rather than the crappy Muddy Fox things I currently have.

I am a UK 9 - if you have any experience of how the Giro fit that would also help - I may even risk the online purchase armed with such information ;-)

    Cheers.

I just bought factors from Sigma.

Northwave and Sidi are too big in the toe box and Shimano and Mavic are too small. Sidi are in between.
    Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
    Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
    Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX

The Giro came up a notch smaller than my last pair. I'm a UK 11 and ended up with a 47 to get a comfortable fit. Previous shoes were Northwave and Specialized in a 46. The giros suit my narrower feet and give more support than both.

On the plus side, that eBay shop will refund/exchange providing you cover the postage if you get the sizing horribly wrong. Same goes for Sigma too, I think..

Similar experience to Andy. I used to wear a 46 Specialized and found the body of the shoe too large, bought Factors in a 47 (from Sigma) and absolutely love them.

I have two pairs of Trans (blue/white and all black). I love them to bits. I even have the 'matching' MTB version.
You could always order a couple of pairs then send one back as mentioned above. I'm typically a UK9 or 43, and they fit perfectly... in fact I'm more of a UK 8-and-a-half.

OK so the conscensus seems to be to size up about half a size, I'll give the 44's a whirl then.

    Thanks all
