hi
a bit new to mountain biking and have a £700 voucher coming soon to get a new mountain bike from evans cycles, however for that price range I am a bit lost as there are a lot of what seem to be good bikes.
So in your honest opinions what would be a good bike for this money.
I would also do some trails.. am a bit heavy 15st and 6ft so need to lose the weight.
Just something that is solid, will last years and can take a bit of abuse.
Thank you in advance for any opinions and assistance.

It's probably between these 2 for me

You'd be better off in both ways if you stumped the cash yourself and bought a Rockrider.0

sorry but I can't afford to not do the cycle to work.0

THe CTW scheme doesn't workout as good value as it used to.
A £500 loan even at 10% apr and buying the RockRider would workout less than the CTW. And you've got a much better value bike. Win-Win.0 -
thank you chunkers1980 for your reply, however I have gone with cycle to work and my employer uses Evans, so if you know a good bike I could look at that falls within the Evans remit I would be very grateful to you.
thanks again.0 -

Are you able to pay extra money yourself on top of the voucher? if you can cough up £60 this genesis is decent.
