can i ask for yet more help from you guys,, on me new bike build..
unsure what rims to run on me new bike i am wanting white rims to go with the frame ( bike tart sorry) and have seen and like the stans ztr flows in white...
the build is going to be a 180mm play bike main duties will be whistler bike park and trails in whistler/and surrounding area. am thinking of a custom build hope evo or nuke proof on the ztr rims. or trusty mavic ex721 (which only come in blk) or even the nuke proof rims these come in silver so would go with the frame. .
anyone know if the ztr flow rims will take the abuse of the bike park,, there seem to be conflicting reviews about the integraty of these rims for dh/park bound duties..
cheers dc

They are tough for their weight - but they are light, so are a lot of even stronger rims about. The white finish adds 30g a rim though. Some DH racers do use them - but they are smoother than you and I ;-)
If you want total bombproofing, go for the bigger Mavics.0 -
ss burning the midnight oil,
yeah that kinda ties in with the reviews i had read.. i know i used mavic ex721 before they pretty bombproof.. why cant they come in white dam it..
last thing i need is to have a wheel explode on me over there whistler aint the cheapest of places to buy parts..
do you know weather the nuke proof rims are anygood..www.bearbackbiking.com

Don't know much about them I'm afraid. Might have been reviewed in MBUK lately though.0

Nukeproof rims are good. I have one on the back of my Marin and it is just about still fully true after 4 or 5 months of not very kind riding and no re-tensions, you really need to be looking hard to notice the very slight wobble. Much stronger than the Superstar DH wheel it replaced, few of the hits the Nukeproof has taken meant the Superstar had to be trued up again. If a rim can handle my 110 kilo mass I count as being more than capable.
And yeah, they are just re-badged but cheaper Sun Ringle MTX 29 rims. The Sun Ringle badged ones are available in white though...0 -
Sun make a decent rim, so if the Nukeproof's are rebranded Suns I say go for it.
Or, CRC have Funn descenders (Sun again) cheap. They're white. Rebadged MTX33 I think.
