I'm putting together a list of carbon bikes for a mate. So far i have:
Boardman AiR 9.0 £2k
http://www.boardmanbikes.com/road/air90.html
Rose Xeon CRS4400 £1.9k
http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/rose ... aid:557099
Giant Defy Composite £1.8k
http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bik ... 316/49818/
Giant TCR Advanced 3 £2k
http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bik ... 309/49804/
Cube Agree GTC Race £1.8k
http://www.cube.eu/en/road/pro-comp/agree-gtc-race/
Any other candidates?
I've excluded Specialized, Felt, Cannondale, Ribble and Trek for various reasons which I won't go into here

Mate has one and it looks and rides great. The only iffy bits are the odd steerer tube size (but this is becoming more common) and the slightly funky goemetryCoach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -
youve looked at the bikes the OP has linked then?
4 of the 5 have shimano
the last has Sram.
Why would you then think to link to a campag bike and turn this into a pathetic my groupset is better than yours thread?BMC TM01 - FCN 0
Look 695 (Geared) - FCN 1
Bowman Palace:R - FCN 1
Cannondale CAAD 9 - FCN 2
Premier (CX) - FCN 6
Premier (fixed/SS) - FCN30 -

Obviously the LOL Smilie was lost on you then with regards my 'pathetic' comment which is so obviously tongue-in-cheek it should hardly start a 'my groupset is better than yours thread'.
I have also looked at the linked bikes and noted that along with the vast majority of bikes in this price range they are fitted with Shimano or Sram. It does not say anywhere that the OP is only looking for these components so as well as agreeing that the Shimano equiped Canyon is a good choice (with my +1) I have also liked to a Campag alternative for consideration. The OP did ask for 'any other candidates?', not 'any other candidates fitted with Shimano or SRAM?'Coach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -

Kuota Kharma, epic looking bike! A club mate has had one for about a year, two other guys in the club recently bought examples for themselves on his recomendation. 1.6-2k depending on group/wheels

The bike that is at the top of my current 'might be able to afford when I graduate' list, albeit for no other reason than the looks. about 2k

'Dale are off for reasons other than the quality of the bike
That Scott is well specced. Like the Rose it has Ksyrium Elites, so decent wheels. Many 2k bikes have so-so wheels.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
Why not get the Canyon though?
It has got an impressive spec for the money...

Yup, even better value on paper than the one I and Spassypaddy linked to.
I know its £100 over budget, but having seen them in the flesh if I had £2000 to spend this would be where my money would go.Coach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -
thats a nice bike that canyon pro 9, though if it too exspencive, what about the 9, still very good value there at a shade under £1700.
Or a bit of a side ball how about the canyon Di2 al 9, might not be carbon, but some say the AL frame is very good even when compared to the Ultimate CF rangeLondon2Brighton Challange 100k!
