New calipers to suit 2300 shifters

I have a Spesh Allez 16 which i'm replacing the calipers on - I started out intending to replace just the pads, but the calipers are unbranded and one of the quick releases is broken, so for the sake of £20 I might as well replace the calipers and get standard pads with them. Question is this: i've scoped out two options on Ribbles website linked below for Sora and Tiagra, and hesitated because the Tiagra set specifies which shifters it needs to give the correct cable pull, and i'm not sure what the reference of 2300 shifters is. The sora is probably my preference anyway, but I need to make sure either will work.
Thanks for any advice!

either will work, no problem. The calipers are pretty much identical apart from Sora have a metallic painted finish and Tiagra are a shinier.0

There will be slight differences in the amount of cable pulled, but not enough so you'd really notice.
I'd go for the 105 calipers myself; you get the metal pad holders then, rather than the all-in one brake blocks.
And when you've worn out the inserts you can replace them relatively cheaply with some KoolStop salmons.0 -
Agreed RE the 105, but my cheap winter build can easily turn into another nice bike with decisions like that!0

Ah, I hadn't twigged that it was a cheap winter build. As you were!0

I had a similar setup and went with 105s, worked fine with the levers, but it was even better when I replaced the whole 2300 group set with 105.
I found the 2300 levers/calipers pretty useless in the wet.0
