Crank arm spacer / tab

I've managed to lose the small tab that goes between the pinch bolts that hold the crank arm on my Hollowtech setup. Is this essential or can I get away without it. If the latter anyone know if replacements are available and where to get them from.

No, not essential, it's a safety feature.
