Route to avoid Constitution Hill

Starting off from London Bridge, across Waterloo Bridge onto the Strand, down to Charing Cross and then right inot Pall Mall, left onto Piccadilly and down to Hyde Park Corner where I will pick up my usual route.
Does anyone know this route? If so what is the traffic going to be like at around 5.45? I expect the Strand to be the worse.

I've been down the Strand by bike at around that time of day (going from King's Cross to Victoria between trains). Even allowing for me being a provincial type with little experience of central London cycling, it was surprisingly OK. Busy, but not the nightmare I'd expected. Ditto Trafalgar Square.
