Hey Guys, I'm looking at getting a new bike after years of being out of touch with the bike scene so i was hoping i could get some advice here.
Looking to spend around £400 on an all round mountain bike that will mainly be used for getting from A to B but i want to start doing some trails here and there. So I'm basically after something that is good on and off tarmac and will be able to handle getting knocked about, and with front suspension only.
Also where is the place to get the best deals? In my town there is 2 local bike shops and a Halfords, can you get better deals online these days??
Hope this is enough info to go on! Thanks

For your budget Halfords is probably best. A Voodoo Bantu will suit for £360 at the mo. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165499A Flock of Birds

Thanks for the response! looks very good for the money! Any other opinions would be appreciated0

Don't forget the discount code NUSMAY12, which will give you another 10% off the discount price, or just 10% off if you miss the sale.0

Make sure you enter NUSMAY12 all in capitals, when I got the discount last month it wouldnt accept it in lower case.
If the discount works, have a look at the Voodoo Hoodoo. This bike got 5/5 in the Bike Radar review, currently on sale at for £450 so with 10% off would come in at £405.2012 Boardman FS Team

I've decided to up my budget to the Hoodoo price range - what are peoples thoughts on the Carrera Kraken?0

Kraken is good, but the Hoodoo is better ie the drivetrain and fork.
But at 500 quid there is the Rockrider 8.1 from Decathlon, the budget king.0
