Hi,
Im just curious as to what peoples opinions are on the best Bike for £1000 or less?
The general thought seems to be the Rockrider 8.1 is head and shoulders above anything else when looking at the £500 range so is there a comparable bargain for a grand?

For 1k you step into viable FS, so becomes more difficult, not to menti a lot more choice and therefore tuneable to style.0

2 Rockrider 8.1's....?0

Depends how much leeway you allow - my grand would go on the Canyon Nerve XC 6.0 (full suss) which is currently £1050 plus shipping.0

What type of riding?0

Type of riding would be canals, woodland, Light/Medium trails.0

I doubt full suspension would be any advantage - I'd look at the Boardman HT Pro.0

Got my Specialized Pitch for £1k a few weeks back. There may be better options but i'm happy with it0

I'd go for the Canyon 29er 7.9 myself, would be a bit overkill for your needs but at £1070ish + shipping the spec is pretty hard to beat and if you got into MTBing more then you wouldn't need to upgrade anything for a long while.0

KHS Yuma 29er?
It’s even under budget by a penny!0 -
If you don't mind ordering from Germany then the Radon ZR team and have nearly £200 left over.
