Broken Hand - Turbo trainer

With a broken hand I'm thinking about getting a turbo trainer so I dont lose what fitness I've managed to build over the past 3 months.

the review of the Minoura B60-R has 5 stars but as a novice, newbie etc was hoping for some pro's and cons on TT's before splashing out.

Also with only 1 good hand are they pretty stable?
Turned out nice again!

Hi there. Just to cover off the stability point. I broke my collarbone at the end of last year and had to spend 2 months solid on the turbo. I made a simple sling that could be washed easily, flipped the stem and raised it so that bending down was easier on the bike and it was all fine. I did also stick a bag of sand on the 'off-side' rear stabiliser to prevent any offs (I could not afford to tumble over) but I think that may have been just over caution (as in, I have never tumbed off the trainer anyway). Have a look at NapD's turbo for beginners thread, loads of good tips on there...

You shouldn't find any problems with stability. I've never moved my turbo and even when practice spinning and spinning at high speed.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.
