Just been in an accident I have bent bars the shifters work fine and I straightened it myself 90% perfect, Should I get it looked over properly? it all seems to be so far. I cycled it 2 miles and no issues with gear changes or wobbles. What should I look out for? I have details of the guy who will cover it but it's my only way into work and cant afford it to be gone for more that a day. Any advice is helpful Luckily their was a Guard there :)

Couple of things to consider really - if the shifters are working then you should be fine, as long as the remaining damage is simply they are bent out of shape a bit. However if there is more damage you might want to get it checked out but would perhaps wait a while to ensure that after a few days the shifters are still working and as long as the brakes are too you will be OK from a safety point of view and you should then know they are all in working order.

As for getting them checked out you could but if the mechanism itself is working and there is no further issues other than appearance then you only option is keep them on till you choose to change them or the people looking will recommend a replacement.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

Not sure if you are saying your bars bent but if they did you must replace the bars; bar failure can be lethal. Don't take the chance, no visual inspection can spot microscopic damage that could lead to sudden failure. :!:
