superstar hubs.....

i've aquired a set of superstar wheels that have superfast QR front hubs, i need 15mm hubs for my new forks, could i just buy a new 15mm switch hub and swap it over without changing spokes etc?

damn it, i thought that might be the issue!!!!

how much am i looking at for a wheel build with spokes (excluding the cost of the hub)? i had about £40 in my head but it that optimistic?

Yeah, about that. Best to sell the wheel and get a new one!

Sorry no the flanges are completely different sizes you would need new spokes. Cost about £1 a spoke plus usually about £25 to do the build.

the wheel is pretty much brand new and the build it's got would cost about £120 so a new hub and build is cheaper

Try dropping Superstar an email, they do cheap wheel rebuilds etc for crash damage so I'm sure they'd be able to give you a good price on a hub swap.

unless you do the build yourself it rarely makes financial sense to swap hubs.
