Damage to rim?

Okay, managed two punctures today which meant an early ride home after the second due to lack of gas and tubes left (am still waiting for my pump to arrive but have used gas for a while now as it inflates quicker to something like the correct psi). However, after the second I realised that the rear tyre was still pretty low, and there was me thinking here's another one...but alas it just remained very low and I had no means of getting anymore in.
Here's my question, the wheel still runs true but I had to run it on about 30-40 psi most of the way home. Is any long term damage likely to have been caused either to wheels or bike? Th tyres appear to have survived relatively unscathed but am not so bothered about them either way. I normally run them around 110 psi.
Thanks for any replies, I won't be riding again without a back-up pump and 3 tubes in future!
