Painful neck

I don't know about anybody else but my neck seems to hurt after every ride

Does it just stop after a while???

    Well by that reply I guess you dont.. flip your stem.
    Basically if you get the setup right you shouldnt get any neck issues, thats all.

    How long have you been cycling?

    When first starting out it's not unusual to have aches and pains, however the longer your ride and the more time your body spends in that position on the bike the better things should get. If they don't then maybe your position is incorrect and you should think about getting a proper bike fit by somebody who know's what they're doing.

    If you had a pic of your bike which shows the bars to saddle drop , that would be helpful. If its too great ,holding your neck in the riding position may be what is causing discomfort to you. There are other factors too such as your flexibility. Stiff hamstrings and hipflexors can also lead to neck soreness too.
